Parking

  • Please park personal vehicles in the south lot. Buses should park in the southwest-most lots.

  • Buses will park in the large open lot on the southwest-most portion the Union H.S. parking lot.

  • Schools bringing large percussion equipment to be used will need to bring it around to the bus loop on the front side of the high school so that it can be unloaded and brought into the building via the ramp.

Schedule

  • 7:30am -- South Entry of Union H.S. unlocked

  • 8:00am -- Etude Cuts revealed

  • 8:15am -- Directors Meeting / Breakfast

  • 9:00am -- Auditions begin

  • 11:00am -- Lunch served

Procedure for 8th & 9th Grade Percussion Auditions
Percussionists will audition in Percussion Room #1 to play the snare drum & timpani etudes, and then move immediately to Percussion Room #2 to perform the keyboard etude & sight-reading. As soon as a student has completed both rooms (which will happen back to back and should take less than 10-12min total), he/she is done with the audition.

STUDENTS WHO NEED EARLY OR LATE AUDITION TIMES
•  Students will check-in with at rooms at 8:30am as originally planned, where they will receive the randomly scheduled audition time created by the software.
•  The monitors will have a list of students within each room from whom we have received an adjusted audition request for, so the student needs to let the monitor know that he/she is on that list.
•  The student needs to warm up and report to the room as soon as they are ready to audition.
•  Requests for an early/late audition are prioritized based on the timeframe of the request, and the monitors will work those students into the rotation as smoothly as possible.
