WEAR: Comfortable but within school dress code and that which represents Union well
Absence from a full morning, afternoon, or evening rehearsal session will result in the automatic termination of the participant.
The band chairperson will deal with any absence or substantial tardiness after consultation with the clinician and the student’s band director. The chairperson’s decision will be final.
The band chairperson will also have the authority and responsibility to lower chair positions and/or remove the student from the band if his/her conduct in any way become a problem. The chairperson is expected to support the clinician in matters concerning student conduct.
If a student is not able to attend the clinic or concert, please have your director contact the district president so an alternate can be contacted. In addition, please send your folder with your director to the clinic for the other players to use.

AUDIENCE
UPAC Audience DOORS OPEN at 6:45pm
STUDENT ARRIVAL
Concert Winds students will begin warm-up at 6:00pm on the UPAC Stage
Symphonic Band students will begin warm-up at 6:15pm in Band Room #3.
Symphonic Winds students will begin warm-up at 6:30pm in Band Room #1
Wind Ensemble students will begin warm-up at 6:30pm in Band Room #2
PERFORMANCES
The order of performances is Concert Winds, Symphonic Band, Symphonic Winds, and then Wind Ensemble.
Following the last piece of the final group, all students will turn in their concert attire, originally checked out in summer/fall of 2024. See all details and policies here.
Students will wear the school-issue formal concert attire as the mandatory dress for this performance.
Students will observe each other’s performances.

What: The OCU Saxophone Day is an annual event open to saxophonists of all backgrounds and skill levels, age 11+. This exciting event features guest artist masterclasses, workshops, a guest artist recital, exhibitors, vendors, and a large saxophone choir. Each year, a world-class saxophonist is featured as a special guest artist.
This year’s featured artist is: Dr. Nicki Roman!
Dr. Nicki Roman is the Professor of Saxophone at the University of Illinois School of Music, saxophonist with Splinter Reeds, and Selmer Paris & Vandoren Artist. Click here to learn more…
