• WHO: Class of 2025 Senior Band and Guard Students! A Faculty member will be present along with UBPC President and Photographer. There will not be time at the event for parents to take their own pictures and can be distracting to students. Section leaders can make arrangements to have photos after this event ends if they wish to.

• WHAT: Group and Section Photos will be printed on the Senior Poster for Senior Night. Digital downloads will be available free to students after senior night. Each student will receive a poster signed by their Class of 2023 classmates.

• WHEN: Sunday, October 6 – Approx 5:30-7pm

• WHERE: Location UHS Band Building

• HOW to dress: Section Leaders coordinate with their section: dark, solid color t-shirt and jeans.

  • Session will not likely last for the entire duration.

• WHERE: Tulsa Gathering Place — meet at the Four Seasons Garde

• ATTIRE: Wear the Union Bands black t-shirt + jeans for the large group photo. Section Leaders coordinate with their section mates if interested in wearing something else for section group photos.

On Friday, October 28, 2022 Senior band and guard students will be recognized during the PREGAME portion of the Union H.S. Varsity home football game at Union Stadium.

The recognition will take place at approximately 6:45pm. 

BEFORE THE RECOGNITION EVENT
Senior band families will meet and line up in alphabetical order (by senior student's last name) at 6:15pm in the Union H.S. Bus Loop Lobby (the tall glass-walled building along the east face of Union H.S.).

• Each senior/family will be assigned a specific location to be occupied during the pregame recognition. A map of the assigned locations will be issued to each family prior to entering the stadium.

• Senior students will be dismissed from the bleachers shortly before halftime to case and stow instruments, then to join their families in line in the bus loop lobby.

ON THE FIELD

• Each senior's name will be announced over the loudspeaker, along with the names of up to two escorts. Seniors may be accompanied by more than two people (i.e. mother, father, and siblings) but only the names of the senior and up to two of the will be announced aloud. Submit student name and escort(s) names to be read aloud. (Deadline: Monday, October 24 by 11:00pm).

• Before entering the field, Seniors will each be given a rose to carry. When the student's name is announced, traditionally the student hands the rose to their mother or other special loved one.  

• While on the field, our designated band photographer will snap a quick picture, so please squeeze together, look forward and smile!  Pictures will be available for free download here within approximately one week following the event. 

• At the conclusion of the recognition, all seniors and family members will turn 90 degrees to the right and proceed out of the stadium, exiting at the northwest gate.

RECEPTION
Following the conclusion of the Renegade Regiment halftime field performance, all Union Bands Seniors and their families are invited to a reception in the UHS Grand Hall to mingle and enjoy refreshments. Students will remain in uniform for this reception.

ATTIRE
Suggested attire for family members or others joining for this event is business casual or nicer.

GAME ADMISSION
Those wishing to attend any portion of the football game as a spectator, if not serving in a credentialed volunteer capacity, must purchase a game ticket .
