7th Grade Winds Switch Camp

Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs | 9- 11a
Oboe & Bassoon students: please arrive at camp with 1 or 2 Medium-Soft Singin Dog brand reeds. The instrument will be provided.
Saxophone students: please exchange your currently-owned instrument at the music store where you hold your rental agreement for an Alto Saxophone. Please have a box of Vandoren Alto Saxophone reeds (blue box), strength 2.5. A swab is also recommended for instrument maintenance.
6th Grade Brass & Woodwinds Students to Link-Up event
Union 6th Grade band students have been invited to attend a special concert presented by the Tulsa Symphony Orchestra on Thursday, May 5, 2022. Students will travel by way of school bus from the Union 6/7 Center to the Tulsa Performing Arts Center in downtown Tulsa, departing at approx. 11:30a and returning at approx. 1:30p.
Parent permission is required to attend this field trip. Parents: please submit your consent below.
6th Grade Bands Spring Concert
This event is free & open to the public, and friends & family are welcome to attend!
LOCATION
Follow the red signs on Mingo Road for the South Parking Lot/South Entrance. Enter the High School through the large doors that say "South Entrance | PAC & Gym". A band director or student volunteer will meet students in the lobby and guide to the correct warm-up area.
‘RED’ Band Schedule
Students arrive by 6:30pm
Please arrive on time. Doing so allows the teachers ample time to seat students and rehearse as a full band before the performance.
Audience doors open at 6:45pm
Performance begins at 7:00pm
‘SILVER’ Band Schedule
Students arrive by 6:45pm
Performance begins at 7:30pm
Student Attire
Union Band T-Shirt + jeans (no holes or rips). Shorts are not allowed.
PARENTS: if your student has not received his/her band t-shirt yet, please submit in the $40 Band Fee as soon as possible.
ATTENDANCE POLICY
This performance is a mandatory co-curricular event and will be counted as a student grade. This means that it is VERY important that all students attend this concert. Please communicate in advace to the student’s band teacher in the event of an unavoidable conflict. Excused absences include religious holidays & emergency illness; sports practices/events, other student activities, or not having a ride to the event will not count as an excused absence.
